The test will be used to identify good and positive characteristics within the participant to demonstrate success within the workplace. The test should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and will assess the participants ability in the following areas; Goal setting and Motivations, Openness and Team Skills, Perfectionism and Carefulness, Leadership Skills and finally, Communication Skills. These 5 skills have been positively identified as skills that employers are most keen to see when employing a new employee.
The test will not be collected in a quantitively way but much rather a qualitative way in form of assessing the responses that would be selecting images and assessing images that are drawn by the participants. This is an effective way of assessing people as they have the option to be as open as they want to be as apposing to selecting a score in a scale.
The scale consists of five different tests which asses the five different employability traits that were stated above. The test names include;
1. Step test – Goal setting and motivation. 2. Arrow test – Openness and team skills. 3. Box test – Perfectionism and Carefulness. 4. Image select test – Leadership skills. 5. Body Language Skills – Communication skills.
